This directory contains the Final version of Paul Trafford's
 Ph.D. Thesis, i.e. the version with corrections carried out 
and approved by the examiners.

It consists of the following 5 files:

cover.txt	Cover with title, name, date, institution
th1.ps		Contents, Acknowledgements, Chapters 1, 2 and 2
th2.ps		Chapters 4 and 5
th3.ps		Chapters 6 and 7
th4.ps          Appendices, References

If you are downloading a copy of some or all of the work, 
then please include the cover.txt file for identification 
purposes.
